DBS Receiver Multi-Brand Remote Control

The VCR's remote control can control functions on the brands of DBS (Direct Broadcast Satellite) receivers listed below.

TURN ON THE DBS RECEIVER

1 Turn the power on using the DBS receiver's remote control.

ENTER DBS RECEIVER BRAND

2 While holding down CABLE/DBS on the VCR’s remote control, press MBR SET and use the NUMBER keys to enter the DBS receiver brand number from the chart below and then press STOP.

Follow the example shown at bottom right.

Once you have set the remote control to operate the DBS receiver, you don't have to repeat this step until you replace the remote control's batteries.

OPERATE DBS RECEIVER

3 First, while hoding down CABLE/DBS, press POWER to see if the DBS receiver's power goes off as it should. If it does, try other functions.

To operate your DBS Receiver, while holding down CABLE/DBS, press the corresponding button: POWER, CH, NUMBER keys (or ENTER).

Depending on the DBS receiver you may have to press ENTER after having pressed the NUMBER keys.

NOTES:

Depending on the type of DBS receiver, there may be cases where some or all functions cannot be operated using the remote control.

Though ECHOSTAR has a number of different remote codes, this remote control is applicable only to one of those codes preset at the factory.

The VCR's remote control can control functions on the brands of cable boxes listed below. Some cable box brands have more than one code. If your cable box does not function with a specified code, try other codes.

TURN ON THE CABLE BOX

1 Turn the power on using the cable box’s remote control.

ENTER CABLE BOX BRAND

2 While holding down CABLE/DBS on the VCR's remote control, press MBR SET and use the NUMBER keys to enter the cable box brand number from the chart below and then press STOP.

Follow the example shown below.
