Turn on the TV and select the VCR channel 3 or 4 (or AV mode).

Active Video Calibration checks the condition of the tape during recording and playback, and compensates for poor reproduction to provide the best quality recording and playback pictures. *The default setting for both recording and playback is "ON".

Preparation

TURN ON THE VCR

1 Press POWER.

ACCESS MAIN MENU

SCREEN

2 Press MENU.

ACCESS VIDEO

CALIBRATION SCREEN

3 Press CH5° or SHUTTLE PLUS %Þ to move the highlight bar (arrow) to

“VIDEO CALIBRATION”, then press OK.

	SELECT MODE
	The Recording section is	ACTIVE VIDEO CALIBRATION
	highlighted. Move the bar	ACTIVE VIDEO CALIBRATION
	highlighted. Move the bar
	4 (arrow) to "ON" or "OFF"
			RECORDING
				=ON
	to set the recording mode
	to set the recording mode			OFF
	by pressing CH5° or			OFF
	by pressing CH5° or		PLAYBACK
	SHUTTLE PLUS %Þ, then			=ON
	SHUTTLE PLUS %Þ, then

press OK. The playback section is then highlighted. Move the bar (arrow) to

"ON" or "OFF" to set the playback mode by pressing CH5° or SHUTTLE PLUS %Þ. Press MENU to return to the normal screen. (Pressing OK returns the highlight bar to the Recording section.)

NOTE:

When recording or when playing back tapes recorded on this VCR set the Active Video Calibration to "ON".
