AMake connections

Connect two sets of SR-V101US and a TV using AV cables as shown in the illustration.

The mini-plug cable is a mono 3.5 mm mini-plug to mono 3.5 mm mini-plug connector.

When playing back S-VHS recordings, it is recommended to use the S-VIDEO connection to minimize picture degradation.

BTurn on all components

After completing the connections, turn on all the components.

Set the TV to video input mode or A/V input mode. Refer to the TV instruction manual.

CLoad cassettes

Insert the playback cassette into each SR-V101US.

Set SR-V101US-2 to “AUX”. Press CH + or – to select the input mode depending on the connector being used:

“L-1” for the rear AUDIO/VIDEO IN connector, or

“F-1” for the front AUDIO/VIDEO input connector.

DStart playback

Press PLAY ( 4) on either of SR-V101US. When the playback reaches to the returning point (tape end or recording end page 19), the other SR-V101US successively starts to play. (The cassette will automatically be rewound when the playback stops.) Therefore, the cassettes loaded on two SR-V101US will be played back alternately as many times as you want.

To stop playback

Press STOP/EJECT (0) on the SR-V101US which is playing back a cassette.

NOTE:

If there is a power outage during Series Playback, the playback will resume automatically when the power is restored to the VCR. (No setting is required for this function.)

To prohibit operations during Series Playback (Mode Lock) Press and hold OK on the Remote for more than 5 seconds. “ ” and “ ” light up on the front display panel. The 2 cassettes will be played back alternately without any interruption.

To resume the other operations, press and hold OK on the Remote again for more than 5 seconds.

When OK is pressed to set Mode Lock, the on-screen display appears and the time counter remains on the TV screen. If the

time counter is not necessary, set “ON SCREEN (PLAY)” to “OFF” ( pg. 18).
