Check & Adjustments

POWER

The Multi-function display is blank.	Is the unit plugged into a power outlet?
Although the power is on, the VCR	Is there a cassette in the VCR?
does not operate.

VCR OPERATION (RECORD MODE)

Tape is not recorded on.	Is the safety tab on the cassette intact?
Timer recording failed.	Did you set the times correctly?
	Did you insert a blank cassette in the VCR?
	Is the safety tab on the cassette intact?
	Is the power on?

VCR OPERATION (PLAYBACK MODE)

Picture quality during playback is poor.	Adjust the picture quality by pressing the
	CH/TRK , keys.
	The head may be dirty. Use a head-cleaning tape.
Picture does not appear in the	Are the TV and VCR both adjusted for
PLAYBACK mode.	the same channel (Channel 3 or 4)?
	Are the connectors between the TV and the
	VCR correct?
	Is the VCR indicator lit on the Multi-function display?

REMOTE CONTROL

Remote control doesn't work.	Do the batteries need replacing?
	Make sure that you are using the remote control within the
	operational range–no more than 30º either side of the
	remote sensor center and no more than 23 feet from the
	VCR. Make sure there is no obstruction between the
	remote control and the VCR.
