Check & Adjustments

TIMER

Clock does not work.

Is the unit receiving power?

If the unit has been without power for some period of time,

it will need to be adjusted again.

GENERAL

Tape won't go in the cassette compartment.

Operation keys don't work.

Emergency indicator ‘ ’ is appearing

Some buzz is heard when the VCR stops operating.

Tape doesn't rewind all the way to end.

Is there another tape already in the VCR?

Are you loading the tape correctly, i.e., with the label side up?

The REW/REV key does not work at the very beginning of a tape and the FF/CUE, PLAY or REC/OTR key does not work at the end of a tape.

Press POWER to disappear the indicator appeared. If the emergency indicator continues to appear, contact a ser- vice technician.

When the VCR is turned on and a cassette is loaded, some buzz can be heard in the STOP mode because motor is operating for stand-by to another mode. This is normal condition.

In order to avoid tape damage or breakage, this

model stops near the end of the tape and slowly finishes rewinding the rest of the way in rewind mode. Do not prematurely eject tape.
