The [POWER] button turns the DVD player on and off. The [POWER] button on the remote can also turn on the unit.

The [OPEN/CLOSE] button operates the disc loading drawer.

For information on using the rest of the front-panel controls, please see the sections describing disc playback.

The front-panel display provides basic information about the status of the DVD player. Please note that essential informa- tion about using the unit will be displayed on the video screen connected to the unit, and initial setup of the DVD player cannot be completed without an operating video monitor providing this on-screen display of menus and settings. Whenever the term “on-screen display” is used, it refers to the video monitor display, not the front panel display.
