Playing audio CDs or MP3 discs

CD MP3

The DVD recorder can be used to play audio CDs. Recordings made in the MP3 format can also be played back on CD-ROM, CD-R or CD-RW discs (before playing MP3 recordings, read the advice on MP3 recordings on page 36).

1.Insert the disc and close the drawer. The “Music - Audio CD“ or “Music - MP3 CD“ menu appears on the screen.

. It begins to play. During playback, the amount of time that has elapsed of the current track is displayed In the left-hand window. When the disc comes to an end, playback stops automati- cally.

Notes:

a.) To see the channel that the DVD recorder is delivering, or the images from the AV inputs, press DVD-AV/ EPG .

Use the DISC-M/ button to return to the CD menu.

b.) You can switch between the programme list

and the original list by pressing (see page 37).

Press or to switch to the previ- ous/next list page.

c.) With mixed CDs (Audio tracks, MP3 and JPEG files) you can switch between the „Audio CD“, “MP3 CD“ and “Photo CD“ menus by repeatedly

pressing TITLE when in Stop mode.

3. To interrupt playback at any time, press .

Options in the Music menu

1.To display menu options, select a track (or folder) In the menu and press OK.

2. Use / to select an option and then always press OK to execute the function.

Open: Opens the folder and displays its con- tents.

Program add: Adds all the tracks in the selected folder to the programme list (see page 37).

Folder: Displays the disc‘s folder list if “Title only“ had previously been chosen to display only the tracks.

Titles only: Displays all the MP3 files on the disc (no folders).

2.To continue playback, press or to replay.

Playing a different TRACK

CD MP3

During playback, press P- or P+ once to go to the next track or to go back to the start of the current track.

Press P- - twice to go back to the previous track.

With an audio CD, if you wish to play a certain title you can also input the track number directly, by pressing the number buttons (0-9).
