Preference

TV Type

You must select the appropriate system mode for your TV system.

When the selected system does not coincide with the system of your TV, normal color picture may not be displayed.

[PAL] When this recorder is connected with PAL-TV.

[Auto] When this recorder is connected with Multi system TV.

[NTSC] When this recorder is connected with NTSC-TV.

Audio/Subtitle/Disc Menu Language

Select a language for the disc’s Menu, Audio, and Subtitle.

[Original] Refers to the original language in which the disc was recorded.

[Others] To select another language, press number buttons then ENTER to enter the corresponding

4-digit number according to the language code list in the reference chapter (see page 44).

Parent Control

Playback of some DVD VIDEOs can be limited according to a predetermined level, such as the age of the users. Scenes may be blocked or replaced with different scenes.

Select [Parental Ctrl] on the setup menu.

- Parental

Selects the limitation level.

Rating one (1) has the most restrictions and rating eight (8) is the least restrictive.

Note:

Password needs to change the parental level if [Password Mode] option is set to [On].

- Area Code

Selects a code for an area as the playback limitation level. See “Area Code” (page 44).

1.Select [Parental Ctrl] option then press B on the [Initial Setup] menu

2.Press v / V to select the [Area Code] option then press ENTER. [Area Code] menu appears.

3.Press v / V to enter the first character of the area and press B.

4.Press v / V to enter the second character and press ENTER.
