Camera Angle

If a DVD contains scenes recorded at different camera angles, you can select among these angles during play- back.

Press ANGLE then press b / B repeatedly during playback to select the desired angle.

The number of the current angle appears on the TV screen.

The Camera Angle icon is displayed on the TV screen when alternate angles are available.

Changing the Audio Language DVD

Press AUDIO then press b / B repeatedly during play- back to hear a different audio language or audio track.

Some discs feature both Dolby Digital and DTS sound- tracks. There is no analog audio output when DTS is selected. To listen to the DTS soundtrack, connect this recorder to a DTS decoder via one of the digital out- puts. See page 16 for connection details.

Changing the Audio Channel

VR Video +R/RW VCD

Press AUDIO then press b / B repeatedly during play- back to hear a different audio channel (STEREO, LEFT or RIGHT).

With DVD-RW discs recorded in VR mode that have both a main and a bilingual audio channel, you can switch between Main (L), Bilingual (R), or a mix of both (Main + Bilingual) by pressing AUDIO.

3D Surround DVD Video VR +R/RW

The DVD Recorder+VCR can produce a 3D Surround effect, which simulates multi-channel audio playback from two conventional stereo speakers.

1Press DISPLAY twice then use v / V to select the Sound icon. Then, use b / B to select “3D SUR.”.

2To turn off the 3D Surround effect, select “NORMAL”.

Finding Locations on a Disc VCD

Use the SEARCH button to access virtually any point during Video CD playback.

1Press SEARCH during playback.

The progress bar appears on the TV screen.

2Use b / B to find the desired starting position for playback.

3Press ENTER to confirm the selected position.

Playback starts from the selected position.

Remember Disc Settings DVD

The DVD Recorder+VCR automatically memorizes the settings from the last disc you viewed. Settings remain in memory even if you remove the disc from the DVD Recorder+VCR or switch off the DVD Recorder+VCR. If you load a disc that had its settings memorized, the lat- est Stop position is automatically recalled.

Settings are stored in memory for use at any time. The DVD Recorder+VCR does not memorize disc settings if you switch off the DVD Recorder+VCR before playing the disc again.

This function may not work on some DVDs.
