2Use v / V to select the Lock option.

3 While the Lock option is selected, press B to move to the second level.

4Use v / V to select the Movie Rating option.

5Press B to move to the third level.

6Enter a 4-digit password using the 0-9 buttons. Enter the 4-digit password again to confirm.

When you have already entered a password; Enter your 4-digit password using the 0-9 buttons.When you have not entered a password yet.

Unlock: If you select Unlock, the Lock feature is not active. The disc will play in full.

Level 1 to 8: Some discs contain scenes not suit- able for children. If you set a rating for the DVD Recorder+VCR, all scenes with the same rating or lower will be played. Higher rated scenes will not be played unless an alternative scene is available on the disc. The alternative must have the same rating or a lower one. If no suitable alternative is found, playback will stop. You must enter the 4-digit pass-

word or change the rating level in order to play the disc.Select a rating from 1 to 8 using the v / V but-

Changing the 4-digit code

1Follow steps 1-3 as shown under Movie Rating.

2Use v / V to select the Password option.

3Press B to move to the third level.

4Follow step 6 as shown under Movie Rating.

5If you select “Delete” then press ENTER, the pass- word will be deleted.While “Change” is selected, press ENTER.

6Enter a 4-digit password using the 0-9 buttons.

7Enter the 4-digit password again.

If you forget your 4-digit code

If you forget your password, follow the procedure below:

1Press SETUP to display the Setup menu.

2Use the 0-9 buttons to enter the 5-digit number “21019”. The following message appears on the TV screen: “Memorized password will be erased. Are you sure?”
