VIDEO SETUP

■To set the DVD+VCR to match the capabilities of your TV:

1		While in Stop mode, press		TV ASPECT	4:3 LB

				VIDEO OUT	COMPONENT
				SCAN MODE	INTERLACED
				SCAN MODE	INTERLACED

2 If you select “4:3 LB”, you can watch the original widescreen movie, but black bars will appear above and below the picture.

If you select “4:3 PS”, the picture will fill the screen but the sides of the movie will be cropped.

If a disc size was recorded in 4:3, you cannot watch it in wide screen even if TV WIDE”.

*If VIDEO OUT is set to S-VIDEO, you cannot set SCAN MODE. If VIDEO OUT is set to COMPONENT, you can set SCAN MODE.

*If SCAN MODE is set to “INTERLACED”, connect Y/Pb/Pr on the DVD+VCR to the INTERLACED input on your TV.

If SCAN MODE is set to “PROGRESSIVE”, connect Y/Pb/Pr on the DVD+VCR to the PROGRESSIVE SCAN input on your TV.
