An occasional “0” indication may be considered normal.

Results should generally resemble those in the figure, but the actual values will vary somewhat from those shown in the figure depending on your geographic location and specific installation. However, if your results are very different from these examples (i.e, rows of zeros or single-digit numbers) or you receive no signal indication:

Highlight the Install tab on the INSTALLATION menu. Verify your settings.

Re-enter your ZIP code if necessary to verify you have used the correct antenna pointing parameters for your location.

Check your cable connections.

Ensure the DIRECTV® Receiver is connected to a modular telephone jack.

Once you have successfully obtained a signal and your test results resemble those shown in the figures, call DIRECTV (or your subscription service provider) to activate service if you have not already done so.
