(8) Using the SRS TruSurround function (only for DVD-videos and Video CDs)

2The multi-channel sound normally achieved with five speakers is recreated using only the two front stereo speakers. This results in a sound with a nearly natural sense of movement that seems to surround the head, without the strong directivity characteristic of multi-speaker systems.

During playback, press the SRS TS button on the remote control

unit.

Press the button again to cancel the TruSurround function.

NOTES:

This function only works with DVD-videos and video CDs only.

The SRS TS function does not work at the time of multi-channel setting. Set “AUDIO CHANNEL” under “AUDIO SETUP” at “SETUP” to “2 CHANNEL”.

Note that for some discs the effect will be weak or there will be no effect.

Turn off other surround functions (the TV’s surround mode, etc.).

The SRS TS function only works for analog audio output signals. The digital audio output signals do not change.
