Connect the external video products properly to the unit by using input jacks on the front of this unit.

Use S-Video or video cable and an audio cable for this connection.

1Turn the unit on.

2When you want to record onto a DVD:

Press A OPEN/CLOSE button on the main unit to open the disc tray, then place the disc to record properly, then press A OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the disc tray.

NOTE:

• This operation may take a few minutes to complete.

1Press SETUP button to display SETUP/DISC menu.

2Select "SETUP" using s/B buttons, then press ENTER button.

3Select "Select Video" using K/L/s/B buttons, then press ENTER button.

4 Select the input jack type to connect using K/L

buttons, then press ENTER button.

If you want to use S-VIDEO INPUT, select "S".

If you want to use VIDEO INPUT (Composite),

select "AUX".

5 Press SETUP button to exit.

When you want to record to a tape:

Insert the tape with a safety tab into the cassette compartment.

3Select the external input mode (“AUX” or “S”) using CHANNEL K/L buttons.

4Press REC SPEED button (For VCR, press REC SPEED button twice), then change the recording speed using K/L buttons until your desired speed is displayed. Refer to "Recording Speed" on page 48 for DVD or page 28 for VCR.

5Press DVD RECORD button or VCR RECORD button to start recording.

6Press PLAY button on the external video product.

7For disc:

Press STOP C (DVD) button to stop recording.
