The TV/VCR will scan all your available TV channels. Those that carry a time signal will be listed at the top of the screen. Use one of these channels when you enter your AUTO CLOCK CH at step 6. It will take

the TV/VCR several minutes to scan the channels. An	8	POWER		SLEEP/WAKE UP

4 Press MENU to remove the menu.

5 Press MENU. Press PLAY/▲ or STOP/▼ to

select SETTING CLOCK, then press F.FWD/B.

6 Press PLAY/▲ or STOP/▼ to select AUTO CLOCK CH. Press F.FWD/B or REW/s until the channel number of your local PBS station appears.

Use a channel number you found at step 3.

7 Press MENU to remove the menu.

8 Press POWER to turn off the TV/VCR. The TV/VCR will search for the time only when the power is off. Leave it off for several minutes to give the TV/VCR time to set the clock.

Helpful Hints

•If the TV/VCR sets the time incor- rectly, it may have taken the time from a PBS station in a different time zone. Follow the steps for Manual Clock Setting on pages 18-19.

•If no channel numbers appear during the channel search at step 3, there are no stations in your area that contain the time signal. Use Manual Clock Setting on pages 18-19.

•During the channel search at step 3, the TV picture may be distorted. This is normal.

•To stop the channel search during step 3, press the MENU button.
