3.5.5 - Setting a Password

You control access to the Parental Control features with a password. The default password is “0000”. You can change the password to any four-digit number.

To change the password:

1.Press the MENU button three times on the remote control until the TV menu opens.

2.Press ▼ until the PARENTAL CONTROLS is highlighted. Press SELECT and the Enter Password window opens.

3.Use the number pad to type the password, then press SELECT. For your convenience, the password was set to “0000” at the factory. Once the password has been successfully entered, the BLOCKING sub-menu opens.

4.Highlight CHANGE PASSWORD, and press SELECT. The Change Password window opens.

5.Use the number pad to type the new password.

6.Use the number pad to retype the new password.

7.Press the EXIT button on the remote control immediately to exit the OSD menu.

Note: Please make sure to write down and store the new password in a secured place. The factory reset option in the Blocking menu (see 3.5.2.4.2 – Blocking, p. 26) does not reset the password.

3.5.6 - Setting the Sleep Timer

The sleep timer lets you set a time delay to turn off your LCD TV automatically.

To set the sleep time using the remote control:

1.Press the TV component button.

2.Press the SLEEP button on the remote control. The sleep timer appears in the center of your screen.

3.Press the SLEEP button one or more times to select the time you want. Options include 30, 60 or 90 minutes.

4.Press the EXIT button on the remote control to hide the sleep timer display. Your sleep timer is now running in the background.

To turn off the sleep time using the remote control, press the SLEEP button repeatedly until Off appears.
