Playing a Disc

This section shows you the basics on how to play a disc.

Preparations

• Connect the AC adapter 18 or the battery pack 85 to the

Be careful not to catch your fingers in the disc holder.

Do not use a cracked, deformed, or repaired disc.

Do not tilt, shake or move the main unit while playing. It may damage the disc.

1 Turn on the power.

• When you want to view a disc on a connected TV or monitor,

turn on the equipment and select the video input connected

to the player.

• When you want to enjoy the sound of discs from an audio

system, turn the audio system on and select the input

connected to the player.

While holding the player base, push the top of the LCD screen unit and lift up to open.

The player turns on and the POWER/CHG indicator on the player illuminates in green.

When the player is turned on for

the first time, an on-screen display will appear to provide initial setup. Move the cursor control ( / ) to select an item, and press the

ENTER button. See the pages in below, and make a selection moving the cursor control ( / ), then press the ENTER button.

After making all the settings, select “” and press the ENTER button.

Do not forcibly open the LCD panel to avoid damaging this panel.

Open the disc cover.

OPEN

Press OPEN on the main unit.

 

 

The disc cover opens.

The cover is designed to stop at 2 positions. Do not force the cover open further, as it may cause damage to the player.

3 Set a disc.

Place a disc with the playback side down, and push gently on the center of the disc to affix it to the spindle.

4 Close the disc cover. Press CLOSE on the left corner.
