If you forget your PIN code, press RECALL four times within five seconds from the V-CHIP menu. This allows you to proceed to the BLOCKING menu and reset your PIN code.

5.You may now enable blocking — “Blocking programs by ratings” (see below), “Blocking channels” (see page 20), “To change your PIN code” (below) or “Blocking unrated movies or programs” (see page 20).

To change your PIN code:

1.

Press MENU, then press x or to highlight the SET UP menu.

2.

Press y or z to highlight V-CHIP CONTROL.

3.

Press x or to display the V-CHIP menu.

4.

Use the Channel Number buttons (0-9) to enter your PIN code.

 

If you are accessing the V-Chip menus for the first time, select a

Using

Blocking programs by ratings

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) uses a rating system to qualify motion picture content. Television broadcasters employ a rating system to qualify the content of television programs, as well. The MPAA, Youth TV and TV ratings work with the V-Chip feature and allow you to block out programming above the rating limits you determine.
