Getting started

Watching TV programmes

Viewing Digital programmes - digital only -

After you have tuned the TV, you have several ways to navigate through all programmes:

Press the Number buttons (a channel number has 4-digits) and you may omit the leading zeroes, which will be appended automatically; (Please note that if you have channels with different frequencies but the same channel number, the TV will always tune to the first channel that has been stored into the channel database. To view the other duplicating channels, you can select the channels from the Navigation List (see below) or use the P U / P u buttons.)

Press P U / P u to view the previous and next programme. The channels are arranged in ascending order according to the channel number.

Press twice to display Favorite channel list and press ￿ or ￿ to select a programme, then press Q to view the favorite programme. Alternatively activating the Favorite Mode, then press P U / P u to select channels in Favorite channel list. See page 31 for more details.

Back Navigate Select Channel Watch TV

2Press ￿, ￿, ￿ and ￿ to select previewed programme, then press Q.

3Press P to exit the menu and watch the previewed channel.

4Press twice to display Favorite channel list.

Changing the programme position

1Enter the desired programme position number using the Number buttons on the remote control.

For programme positions below 10, use 0 and the required number e.g., for programme position 1.

2You can also change the programme position by using P U or P u.

The programme position will be displayed on the screen with the Mono/Stereo/Dual audio status.

Note:

The programme position selection change between different format channels takes several seconds.

Switching between two programme positions

You can switch two programme positions without entering actual position number each time.

1Select the first programme position you want to view.

2Select the second programme position with the Number buttons (0-9).

3Press :. The previous channel will be displayed.

Each time you press :, the TV will switch back and forth between the two programme positions.

Selecting the menu language - analog only -

Choose from 9 different languages (English, Chinese (CS), Malay, Thai, Vietnamese, Russian, Arabic, Persian or French) for the On-Screen-Display.

1Press M, then press ￿ or ￿ to display SET UP menu.

2Press ￿ or ￿ to select Language.

3Press ￿ or ￿ to select the desired language.

Displaying the on-screen information

1Press k to display the following on-screen information.

The information will disappear in 6 seconds.

Mono/Stereo/Dual audio status

2To close the display instantly, press k again.

On-screen information - digital only -

When viewing in Digital TV, the on-screen information (I- Plate) will give the details of the channel programme currently being viewed.

1Press , to display the I-Plate.
