This television offers the choice of personalising the picture style. Press mto view the different styles available:

DNR – Digital Noise Reduction

DNR enables you to ‘soften’ thescreen representation of a

weak signal.

1Select DNR from the Picture menu. Select between AUTO and OFF to obtain the best picture. The differences may not always be noticeable.

Black Stretch

Black Stretch increases the strength of dark colours.

1Select Black Stretch from the Picture menu by pressing Q until the lower section of the screen appears.

2Press S or R to select between ON and OFF. The effect depends on the broadcast and is most noticeable on dark colours.

EXIT :To exit

2Use S or R to adjust the Contrast, Brightness, Colour, Tint and Sharpness.

The Tint can only be adjusted on a signal from an NTSC video recorder or DVD player when the television is in AUTO colour mode.

Scan mode has four options. NATURAL, ACTIVE and 100Hz settings run at 100Hz and reduce background flicker. The NATURAL setting normally gives the better picture, but for programmes such as football matches ACTIVE or 100Hz may give a smoother result. PROGRESS. (Progressive) is 50Hz for PAL images and is also particularly suited to 60Hz NTSC images.

1Select Scan mode from the Picture menu.

2With S or R select NATURAL, ACTIVE, 100Hz or PROGRESS. to choose the best picture – the difference may only be slight.

EXIT :To exit

Colour Temperature

Colour Temp. increases the ‘warmth’ or ‘coolness’ of a

picture by increasing the red or blue tint.

1Select Colour Temp. from the Picture menu by pressing Q until the lower section of the screen appears.

2Press S or R to select between NORMAL, WARM and COOL to suit your preference.
