3 STOP Button

Press the STOP () button will stop play, although the disc will remain in motion. Pressing the PLAY () button soon after pressing stop will cause the player to pick up at the place just left off (i.e., memory play). Pressing the button twice in a row will cause play to cease and the memory play function to be erased. This button is also available on the remote control. Refer to page 39 for relevant instructions.

As the disc continues to spin even after the

button is pressed, please mind power con- sumption if your player is running on batteries.

4 FAST FORWARD and REVERSE Buttons

In case of playing back DVD, VCD or SVCD, press the FAST FORWARD () or REVERSE () but- ton once to forward or reverse the picture at twice the normal output speed. Press twice to forward / reverse at quadruple normal output speed and three times to forward / reverse at eight times normal out- put speed. There is no need to continually press

the button to continue this function.

Press the PLAY () button to return the picture to normal output. During fast forward / reverse sound will be disabled and video will speed forward or back- ward to facilitate easy search. Refer to page 39 for relevant instructions.

Pressing and holding the FAST FORWARD or REVERSE button for more than one second will force the player to jump to the next / previ- ous track. In other words, these two keys can behave the key NEXT () and PREV () on the remote control. See page 42 for more de- tails.

5 EJECT Button

Pressing the EJECT ()button will cause the player lid to open to permit disc change. Under normal con- ditions, the lid should remain closed until a disc change is needed. When the lid is open, play func- tions are disabled.
