When you’ve finished, press the OPEN/CLOSE [ ] button again.

The disc tray closes.

Playback of the current disc continues uninterrupted until you either stop playback or select another disc.

Tip: If you press one of the DISC SELECT 1–6 buttons, the disc tray will close, playback of the current disc will stop, and playback of the newly selected disc will start automatically.

This section explains how to load and remove discs with- out stopping playback.

1Press the OPEN/CLOSE [ ] button.

Use the DISC SELECT 1–6 but- tons to select loaded discs.

On the remote controller these buttons are labelled [DISC 1], [DISC 2], and so on.

The disc indicator on the display shows the number of the current disc.

What happens next depends on the type of disc you selected, as follows:

DVD-Video:Typically a menu appears onscreen (see page 26).

DVD-Audio:Either playback starts automatically or a menu appears onscreen.

VCD: Playback starts automatically.

DVD-VR/CD/SACD: Playback starts

automatically.

MP3/JPEG: The Disc Navigator appears onscreen and playback starts automatically (see page 28).

JPEG-only CD: With some JPEG CDs, picture thumbnails appear onscreen (see page 33).
