CD PLAY Function

Since the DVD Changer allows you to insert up to five discs in any combination, there may be times when you only want to listen to music. In that case, proceed as follows:

Press CD PLAY on the unit.

CD indicator illuminates on the display.

Press £.

Playback of DVD and Video CD discs is

skipped so that sequential playback is not interrupted.

Random Play

The chapters or tracks of the disc are played in random order.

Press RANDOM.

The random playback starts.

The Random Play display appears on the screen.

To play Discs and Tracks in random order

Press RANDOM and REPEAT repeatedly to select “Repeat All Discs” during playback.

Discs and Tracks are played in random order repeatedly.

To turn off the Random Play display

Press ON SCREEN or CLEAR.

The menu is switched off when no operation is performed for about 5 seconds.

To cancel random play

Press RANDOM so that RANDOM goes off or to select “Standard Play”.

Each time you press RANDOM, random play will turn on and off.

Random Play Standard Play

The Standard Play display appears when random is off.

Notes

You cannot play DVDs in random order.

When playing a PBC-compatible VCD and PBC is on, you cannot play it in random order.

When you press RANDOM while CD PLAY is functioning, the CD indicator goes off and the tracks are played in random order. If you press RANDOM and select “Repeat All Discs” while CD PLAY is functioning, all CDs and tracks are played in random order.
