Case 3: Connecting to an AV amplifier with a digital output jack

If your AV amplifier has a Dolby Digital, MPEG2 or DTS decoder and a digital input jack, use this connection. To enjoy Dolby Digital, MPEG2 or DTS sound, you will need to set up the audio settings. (See pages 32-33)

This allows you to connect your DVD Recorder to other external devices and view or record their outputs.
