How to Enable/Disable the V-Chip

Press the MENU button to display the menu.

Press the UP/DOWN▲▼ buttons to select “Function”, then press the LEFT/RIGHT œ√ buttons.

Press the UP/DOWN▲▼ buttons to select “V-Chip”. Press the LEFT/RIGHT œ√ buttons.

The “Enter pin” screen will appear. Enter your 4-digit PIN number.

After entering a valid PIN number, the “V-chip” screen will appear.

To enable the V-Chip fea- ture, press the LEFT/RIGHT œ√ buttons so that the “V- Chip lock” field is Yes. (Pressing the LEFT/RIGHT œ√ buttons will alternate between Yes and No.)

How to Set up Restrictions Using the “TV guidelines”

First, set up a personal identification number (PIN), and enable the V-Chip. (See previ- ous section.) Parental restrictions can be set up using either of two methods: The TV guidelines or the MPAA rating.
