Setup menu

Dynamic Compression

While watching movies, you may wish to compress the dynamic range of the audio output (the difference between the loudest and softest passages).

This allows you to listen to a movie at lower volume without losing clarity of sound.

Set ‘Dynamic Compression’ to ON or OFF for this effect.

1With the unit in Stop mode, press the HOME MENU button.

2Press the œ √ buttons to select Setup, then press the OK button.

3Press the button to select Audio setup, then press the button. Audio setup menu will be displayed.

4Press the …† buttons to select ‘Dynamic Compression’ then press the button.

On : Select this, if you hear loud sounds softer and soft sounds louder.

Off : Select this to view a program in the dynamic range as recorded in the disc.

5Press the …† buttons to select the desired item, then press the OK button to confirm your choice.
