Limited United States Warranty for Digital Audio Video (“DAV”) Product
Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. (“TAIS”) makes the following limited warranties to original consumers in the United States. THESE LIMITED WARRANTIES EXTEND TO THE ORIGINAL CONSUMER PURCHASER OR ANY PERSON RECEIVING THIS DAV PRODUCT AS A GIFT FROM THE ORIGINAL CONSUMER PURCHASER AND TO NO OTHER PURCHASER OR TRANSFEREE. DAV PRODUCTS PURCHASED IN THE U.S.A. OR PUERTO RICO AND USED ANYWHERE OUTSIDE OF THE U.S.A. OR PUERTO RICO, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, CANADA AND MEXICO, ARE NOT COVERED BY THESE WARRANTIES. DAV PRODUCTS PURCHASED ANYWHERE OUTSIDE OF THE U.S.A. OR PUERTO RICO, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, CANADA AND MEXICO, AND USED IN THE U.S.A., ARE NOT COVERED BY THESE WARRANTIES.
Limited 90-Day Warranty on Parts and Labor
TAIS WARRANTS THIS PRODUCT AND ITS PARTS AGAINST DEFECTS IN MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP FOR A PERIOD OF
Rental Units – The limited warranty period begins on the date of the first rental or thirty (30) days after the date of shipment to the rental firm, whichever comes first.
Your Responsibility – Read the owner’s manual thoroughly before installing or operating this Product. Complete and mail the enclosed product registration card (if provided) or register your Product online at www.support.toshiba.com. Registration of your Product will enable TAIS to contact you in the unlikely event a safety notification is required under the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Act. Failure to complete and return the product registration card does not diminish your warranty rights.
THE ABOVE WARRANTIES ARE SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
(1)This Limited Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and only covers product purchased as new. (2) A purchase receipt or other proof of the original purchase date is required for warranty service. (3) All warranty servicing of this Product must be performed by an Authorized TAIS Service Provider. (4) The warranties from TAIS are effective only if this Product is purchased and operated in the U.S.A. or Puerto Rico. (5) Removal and reinstallation of product that is mounted in such a manner as to impede normal service is not covered under these warranties. This includes wall mounts, custom cabinets and other installation methods that do not provide for direct and immediate access to the product for service purposes. Labor service charges for set installation, setup, adjustment of customer controls, and installation or repair of antenna, satellite or cable systems are not covered by this limited warranty. ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY THE LAW OF ANY STATE OF THE U.S.A., INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE LIMITED WARRANTIES SET FORTH ABOVE. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ANY WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY THE LAW OF ANY STATE OF THE U.S.A.
