Running the macro

To run the macro, press the button that you assigned when you re- corded the macro. In the preceding example the following events will happen when you press 1 in the AUX device screen:

1.TV turns on

2.TV switches to video mode

3.Ten second delay

4.VCR turns on

5.VCR starts playing tape

The macro button’s original function will not work unless you delete the macro using the DELETE button function. Refer to “Using the Delete Function”.

Adjusting the LCD Backlight

You can adjust the ambient light sensitivity and the length of time that the backlight stays on. Extensive backlight use affects the bat- tery life. See “Power supply tips and precautions”.

Press the AMP and the AUX button at the same time for three seconds to enter the LCD backlight configuration mode.

Note: Do not confuse this button combination with the combination for recall- ing the original LCD layout (TV and DVD). Otherwise your configuration will be deleted.
