Naming the channels

To help you keep track of the many channels available, yolzLcan name the channels your TV receives. In this menu, the ENTER button performs the same function as the ADJUST keys in other

menus. After you enter a name, it will appear on-screen, next to the channel number.

O Press the MENU buttoa on the remote control. Main Menu

will appear on the screen.

O Use the ADJUST buttons to select "Customize Display". Press ENTER.

You wil]_ see the "Customize Display" screen. Use ADJUST buttons to select "Name the

Channels". Press ENTER.

Iselect an antenna (A or B).

IPress ENTER.

Use the ADJUST buttons, channel controls or number buttons to select the channel

you want to name. Press ENTER to store the channel

number in memory.

Press ENTER again to select a

new name for the channel. Use the ADJUST buttons and the ENTEI_: button to select each letter in the new name. You can use letters (A - Z), num- bers (0 - 9), or symbols (:/., ( ) ! ,, # $7% &, blank + ;.< = > ?

When you are setting the name, you can clear it by pressing the CANCEL button when the left-most position is un_ierlined.

When you are finished, press the HOME button to return to normal viewing.

The name you set will appear instead of the call letters being supplied by Extended Data Services (XDS).

Message "Memory over!" will indicate that tl_e memory is full. If the memory is full and you want to name a channel, you must use the above steps to clear the name fi)r an existing channel. You can then select the new channel to name.
