Setting Access Control

About Access Control

Access Control limits viewing of discs that exceed the limits you set. Philips cannot guarantee the availability of Access Control with all discs, and therefore denies any liability associated with unintended watching of discs.

6Use the alphanumeric keypad 0-9 to enter your new four-digit pin code. You must enter the same pin code a second time to confirm it.

To cancel your change, press 4 to select { Cancel } and press OK to confirm.

Setting or changing the pin code

Enter your four-digit password to play a prohibited disc or if prompted for a pin code.

1Press SYSTEM-MENUon the remote

control.

The system menu appears on the TV.

2Press 4 to select { Preferences }.

3Press 2 repeatedly to select { Access } and press 4 to confirm.

4Use the alphanumeric keypad 0-9 to enter your four-digit pin code.

When doing this for the first time, enter any four-digit you prefer. You must enter the same pin code a second time to confirm it.

If you forgot your four-digit pin code, use the Alphanumeric keypad 0-9on the remote control to key in ‘1504’ and followed by OK button. Then, enter any four-digit you prefer.

5Press 4 repeatedly to select

Activating/Deactivating the child lock

This function can prevent children from viewing discs. This DVD recorder can memorise settings for 50 discs. When in use, a four-digit pin code must be entered in order to play a disc.

1Press SYSTEM-MENUon the remote

control.

The system menu appears on the TV.

2Press 4 to select { Preferences }.

3Press 2 repeatedly to select { Access } and press 4 to confirm.

4Use the alphanumeric keypad 0-9 to enter your four-digit pin code (see page 57 “Setting or changing the pin code”).

5Press 4 to select { Child lock }.

6Press 2 to select { On } or { Off } setting and press 1 to confirm.

If you turn on the child lock feature, you will need to enter the four-digit pin code in order to play locked discs.

TIPS: Press 1 to go back to previous menu item. Press SYSTEM-MENUto exit the menu.
