Playing Karaoke discs
IMPORTANT!
You have to turn on your TV and set to the correct Video In channel. (See page 16 ‘Finding your viewing channel’).
General Operation
AConnect a microphone (not supplied) to MIC on the front panel of the DVD player.
BPress KARAOKE repeatedly to access Karaoke menu.
‘Karaoke : Off’ appears on the TV screen.
Press OK to turn ‘On’ or ‘Off’ the karaoke mode.
CLoad a karaoke disc and press PLAY/ PAUSE u.
DAdjust the microphone volume using MIC LEVEL button on the side of the panel of the DVD player.
Tip:
– Before connecting the microphone, set the microphone volume to the minumum level to prevent howling.
Vocal
You can fade out the original vocal from a karaoke disc.
Press VOCAL repeatedly to choose different audio modes.
Tip:

Press KARAOKE repeatedly to access the karaoke menu.
Press S T to select ‘Karaoke’, ‘Key Shift’, ‘Echo’ and ‘Voice Cancel’.
AWhen ‘Karaoke’ is selected, press OK to set karaoke ‘On’ or ‘Off’.
BWhen ‘Key Shift’ is selected, press W X to adjust the pitch value between 0 and 14.
This function allows you to adjust the key tone level to match your vocal.
CWhen ‘Echo’ is selected, press W X to adjust the echo level.
DWhen ‘Voice Cancel’ is selected, press
OK to set voice cancel ‘On’ or ‘Off’. When ‘Off’ is selected, press S T to enable karaoke scoring.
EYou can also press OK to select the scoring ranks.
The selection sequence are ‘Karaoke Scoring’ – ‘Off’ – ‘Basic’ – ‘Intermediate’ – ‘Advance’
Tips:
–The Karaoke score function is only available in DVD and VCD discs.
–Karaoke score will only appear on the TV screen when user scores 30 points and above at the end of each song.
