VCR Operation

Hi-Fi Stereo Sound System

Your DVD/VCR can only receive and record in Hi-Fi stereo or second audio programs that are broadcast in stereo or second audio.

You can only play in stereo or second audio tapes that were recorded in stereo or second audio.

Note:

– Although a programme may be broad- cast in both stereo and second audio, you cannot record in both at the same time.

SELECTING THE SOUND MODE

You can select each mode by pressing the AUDIO button on the remote control. Each mode is indicated on the TV screen as follow- ing.

During playback of the recorded tape in Hi-Fi mode:

If you play non-Hi-Fi tapes, the DVD/VCR will play automatically in monaural even if you select any mode.

If the stereo signal becomes weak, the broadcast is automatically recorded in monaural.
