Check the impedance of your speakers. Speakers with an impedance of between 4 and 8 Ohms are recommended.

The red coloured speaker terminals are positive (+) and the black speaker terminals are negative (-). Make sure correct polarity is maintained at each speaker connector or the sound can become weak and “phasey” with little bass.

Prepare the speaker cords for connection by stripping off approximately 10mm (3/8”) or less of the outer insulation. More than 10mm could cause a short circuit. Twist the wires tightly together so there are no loose ends. Unscrew the speaker terminal knob, insert the speaker cable, tighten the knob and secure the cable.

Connect the supplied DD30 docking station to the connector located at the rear.

3Active subwoofer In/Out

Each component of this duo is designed with meticulous attention to detail, aimed at providing an enriching listening experience for both audiophiles and casual listeners alike.

The AR30 is a stereo amplifier that delivers an impressive output, typically rated around 30 watts per channel. This model is crafted to drive a wide variety of speakers, making it a versatile choice for music enthusiasts. What sets the AR30 apart is its class AB amplification, which enhances sound clarity and dynamic range, allowing for intricate musical details to shine through.

One of the standout features of the AR30 is its integrated DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter). This inclusion is vital for modern music sources that rely on digital formats. The DAC optimizes the sound quality from USB devices, Bluetooth, and optical inputs, ensuring that every note retains its fidelity, thus providing a bridge between digital music sources and analog sound systems.

On the other hand, the DR30 serves as a digital radio that expands the audio experience beyond traditional sources. It supports various streaming services and ensures the user has access to a vast array of internet radio stations, adding depth to their listening options. Notably, the DR30 is not just about variety; it also utilizes advanced signal processing technologies to minimize distortion and maximize clarity, so listeners can enjoy a pristine audio experience, whether tuning into a favorite station or streaming a preferred playlist.

Both models feature elegant designs, with a focus on usability. The user-friendly interfaces make it easy to switch between sources, adjust settings, and customize preferences. The digital displays are clear and well-organized, providing at-a-glance information about the current playback status.

Cambridge Audio incorporates proprietary technologies such as their proprietary StreamMagic technology into these devices. This ensures seamless integration with various networked devices and enhances streaming quality, offering listeners a sophisticated yet straightforward approach to modern music consumption.

In conclusion, the Cambridge Audio AR30 and DR30 are a celebration of audio excellence, curated for those who seek quality and innovation in their listening experience.
