Troubleshooting

Trouble

Machine will not start.

Overload kicks out frequently.

Cutter does not come up to speed.

Machine makes unsatisfactory cuts.

Workpiece burns.

Machine vibrates excessively.

Edge splits off on cross-grain cut.

Probable Cause

Not connected to power source.

Check connection.

 

 

Cord damaged.

Have cord replaced by authorized

service person.

 

 

 

Connected to wrong voltage.

Check voltage.

 

 

Faulty switch.

Replace switch.

 

 

Fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped

Replace fuse, reset breaker.

at incoming power source.

 

 

 

Extension cord too light or too long.

Replace with adequate size cord.

 

 

Feeding stock too fast.

Feed stock more slowly.

 

 

Cutter is dull or has gum on it.
