7.17 Upper Seatback Removal

Remove the upper seat back by lifting the yellow release taband pulling up on the upper seat back.

NOTE: DO NOT store the upper seat back in the passenger compartment. Store the upper seat back in a secure location like your trunk or garage.

WARNING

DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY can occur

The upper seat back must be installed: When the child weighs more than 22 lbs or

The top of the child’s head is within 1 inch of the top of the restraint

or

The restraint is forward facing.
