Discrete Remote Control Commands

The GFR-700 can be controlled via its serial RS-232 port. The serial port can be connected to a media control center, PC, or ‘dumb terminal’ via a straight-through standard 9-pin serial port cable (MALE on one end and FEMALE on the other end). When using a PC, a terminal emulator program (e.g. HyperTerminal), can be used to control the GFR-700. The communications parameters should be set as follows:

9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit and Flow Control: Hardware
