To remove backrest from seat base, backrest needs to be in the most upright position. Press down firmly on backrest release tab and rotate seat back until it lays flat.

Lift backrest hook out of the opening in seat base. Store backrest for future use.

Lay flap over hole where backrest connects to the base.

Check periodically to ensure your child has not moved out of position and loosened the shoulder belt.
