Preparing Child Restraint to Fit Your Child

You MUST make these adjustments with your child before you install the child restraint in the vehicle.

Place the child’s

Make sure LATCH belt packaging is pulled free of child restraint shell.

Forward-Facing Position: Harness slots must be even with or just above the shoulders.

Press on harness retainer release button and pull apart.

Press red button on buckle to release the buckle plates. Hook harnesses on the harness strap holders on the sides of child restraint.

If the top harness slots are below the child’s shoulders, do not use this child restraint. Use a belt-positioning booster instead.

set of harness slots

 

works best for your

 

child. Adjust if

 

needed.
