Installing the Battery

Battery Safety Precautions:

• Do not short the battery’s

terminals.

 

• Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the battery. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.

• Do not throw the battery into a fire or expose it to excessive heat–over 149ºF (65ºC). This could be hazardous.

Use the battery only with specified adapter/ chargers and camcorders.

To Install a Battery:

1.Slide the OPEN-BATTbutton to open the battery compartment.

2.Insert the battery sideways as shown and snap into place.

3.Close the battery compartment.

To Remove a Battery:

1.Slide the OPEN-BATTbutton to open the battery compartment.

2.Slide the battery towards the back of the camcorder and lift out.

3.Close the battery compartment.

Battery Level Indicator

A battery level indicator appears in the LCD window to show how much battery power remains. When the battery is empty, the indicator flashes and the camcorder shuts off.

Tip: The battery level indicator has no meaning when you power the camcorder with the adapter/charger or optional car cord.
