If...

Picture orientation is not

Set the Orientation Sensor to ON (page 47).

Flash does not fire

Check if external flash is designated in Setup (page 48).

 

 

Check the flash setting and change as needed (page 36).

 

 

 

 

Storage location is almost

Transfer pictures to the computer (page 19).

 

or entirely full

Delete pictures from the card or insert a new one (page 17).

 

 

Change image storage location to internal memory

 

 

(page 46).

 

 

 

 

You cannot take a picture

Turn the camera off, then on again.

 

 

Depress shutter button all the way (page 5).

 

 

Insert a charged battery (page 2).

 

 

Memory full. Transfer pictures to the computer (page 19),

 

 

delete pictures from the camera (page 17) or card, change

 

 

image storage location, or insert a new card.

 

 

 

 

Error message appears on

EVF/LCD screen

Note error number, if given; then turn the camera off then

 

 

back on.

 

 

Remove the battery and wipe the contacts with a clean, dry

 

 

cloth (page 88), then reinstall it.
