Step 4: Setting the disc language

(audio, subtitle, disc menu)

If you set the disc language, this unit will automatically switch to the selected language (for audio, subtitle and disc menu) when a disc is loaded. If the selected language is not available on the disc, the disc’s default language will be used instead. (The default setting is “ENGLISH” for audio and disc menu and “OFF” for subtitle.)

Notes

When using a wide-screen TV, set “TV DISPLAY” in “VIDEO SETUP PAGE” to “16:9”. For details, refer to “TV DISPLAY” (page 23).

Setting an incorrect TV color system distorts the picture on the

TV and makes menu operations difficult. To switch the TV color system (NTSC and PAL) in such a case, press and then AUDIO while no disc is inserted (“NO DISC” appears on the

front panel display).

Step 3: Setting the OSD language

You can select a language used for the on-screen display. (The default setting is “ENGLISH”.)
