OPERATION

To disable a lock applied to a disc

Select “UNLOCK” in step 3.

To return to the previous menu, press . To close the Setup menu, press SETUP.

To unlock the Disc Lock temporarily for playback, use the Number buttons to enter the password in the password input area (displayed when the locked disc is loaded), and then press

ENTER.

Changing the password

Follow the procedure below to change the password to access locked disc temporarily.

1Press SETUP to display the Setup menu on the TV.

2Press or to select “PREFERENCE

PAGE”, press or to select “PASSWORD”, then press .

Note

“PREFERENCE PAGE” is available only when no disc is inserted or the unit is in the Stop mode (page 11).

3Press ENTER to display the Password change screen.

4Use the Number buttons to enter the current 6-digit password in the “OLD PASSWORD” area, enter the new 6-digit password in the “NEW PASSWORD” and “CONFIRM PWD” areas, then press ENTER.

Notes

The default password is “000000”.

If you forget your password, enter “000000” instead of your password.

Playing MP3 or JPEG (Kodak) Picture Discs

You can play back MP3 data recorded on a CD-R or CD-RW disc, or view a JPEG disc or Kodak disc on the TV. For information on basic playback operations, refer to “Basic Playback Operations” (page 11).

Notes

This unit cannot display special characters such as double-byte characters used for folder and file names.

Depending on the disc format, characteristics, or recording conditions, the unit may not read or play back some discs properly.

If a disc contains a folder consisted of more than 500 files, the unit may not read or play back the disc properly.

For a Kodak disc, the slide show starts automatically. If it does not start, press .

For an MP3 or JPEG disc, the disc menu appears on the TV. To start the slide show for the JPEG disc, press .

2Press or to select a folder, then press

ENTER.

The file list of the selected folder appears on the TV.

3Press,, or Number buttons to select a file, then press ENTER.

Playback starts from the selected file to the end of the folder.
