Open the battery compartment cover and insert the supplied battery pack.

¶Be sure to insert the battery pack in the correct direction; the camera will not operate if the battery pack is installed incorrectly.

Connect the AC adapter to the camera and plug it into a household outlet to begin recharging.

Make sure all the items below are in the box:

¶ Memory card	¶ CD-ROM which includes
¶ Lithium-ion battery pack	driver software
¶ AC adapter	¶ Hand strap

your region will be included	¶ Your Registration Card
in the package.

*The shape of the plug is different in Great Britain. Make sure of the shape of the plug used in each country before you use the camera.

<Recharging Time>

Standby LED Caution LED

Full recharging requires approximately 5 hours.

During recharging, the caution LED will light steadily. When recharging is completed, the caution LED will go out and the standby LED will light.

<Recharging Status>

Charge the battery pack in accordance with the battery indicator status shown on the LCD monitor.
