Image erasing and memory card formatting functions differ in the following ways:

Turning the Electronic Tone ON/OFF

The electronic beeping tone heard when the shutter button is pressed can be set to ON or OFF as desired.

Warning beeps and the operating sound made when power is turned ON cannot be disabled.
