Selecting the Flash Mode
You can select a flash mode according to the situation.

Tap the [ ] key in the photography mode.
The Display screen appears.

Tap the icon to be selected.

Forced flash
The selected flash mode is set and the Display screen is restored.
Tapping this restores the Display screen.
Notes
•The effective firing distance of the flash is 0.5m to 2.8m (with ISO200 and wide edge selected).
•After a photograph is taken with the flash, it may take several seconds to charge the flash. While the flash is being charged, the indicator lights orange. The camera is not yet ready for photography during this period. Start photography after charging is completed.
•Some scene modes do not allow you to change the flash mode. See page 31.
•Pressing the shutter button down halfway causes the [ ] icon to appear if the flash will function.
