Setting Focus

Images can be captured with the focus determined automatically using auto focus. You may over-ride the auto focus and specify [] macro or [] infinity.

1.Rotate the mode dial to A , P , SCENE , Tv , Av or M.

2.Press S / .

3.Use S or T to select the desired focus mode.

4.Compose your scene and press the shutter button.

The table below will help you choose the appropriate focus mode:

Focus mode

Description

Macro

Select macro to capture close-up images. When the lens is zoomed to its widest

 

position you may focus on objects as close as 5 cm.When the lens is zoomed to its

 

telephoto position (3x zoom) you can focus as close as 30 cm.

 

 

Infinity

The infinity setting is useful for shooting through glass and at other times when you

 

wish to lock on a subject at a long distance.

AF Auto Focus

Select auto focus for most occasions when you want the ViviCam 8400 to automatically

 

determine the focus setting.

 

Using AF, any object at a distance of 50 cm or greater can be in focus.
