10 Using the Camera as a Web Cam

IMPORTANT!

Before using the Web Camera function, make sure that your camera has been switched to PC Camera mode. (Please refer to “Changing the Driver Type Between Mass Storage Mode and PC Camera Mode” on page 61 for more details.

•Setting up NetMeeting™

NOTE:

Set the camera to Video Mode before starting NetMeeting™.

1.Plug the labelled end of the USB cable into the socket marked on your computer. Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on the camera.

2.When it is the first time to use the camera as a “Web Cam”. The Windows may prompt the user to insert the Windows system disk. Please insert your camera driver CD or the Windows CD into the CD- ROM drive to install the requested files.

3.Connect your microphone (not included) and speakers (not included) to your audio card’s Mic in and line out jack respectively.
