FULLY AUTOMATIC OPERATION

Full Auto is the camera’s standard operating mode and is suited for use in almost any situation.

Press the program-reset button to set the camera to fully automatic operation (Full Auto) at any time. See page 71.

1. Press the main switch to turn the camera on.

2. Press the program-reset button to set the camera to Full Auto.

3. Set the format-selector switch to the desired print format (C, H, or P).

4. Center your subject in the

focus frame and press the shutter-release button partway down to activate autofocus. The focus lamp will glow when the subject is in focus.

• The built-in flash will pop-up and fire when necessary.

5. When using a zoom lens, rotate the zooming ring on the lens to frame the subject as desired.

6. Press the shutter-release button all the way down to take the picture.

In low-light conditions, the AF Illuminator (flash) will fire to determine the focus distance.

If your subject is outside the focus frame , use focus hold. See page 31.
