Using manual mode
The manual mode features an advanced recording technique by controlling the exposure with a combination of adjustments of the aperture value, shutter speed and gain level.
When to use manual mode
[a] | [b] | [c] | [d] |
•When the background is too bright (backlighting) [a], open the aperture (lower F value).
•When the subject is bright with dark background [b], close the aperture (higher F value).
•When the subject moves at high speed [c], set the shutter speed value faster.
•When a dark scene is shot overexposed [d], lower the gain.
