Shooting in manual mode

In manual mode, you can adjust the aperture, shutter speed and gain independently. Use the graph on page 53 for your reference to set a value of each item.

(1) Set AUTO LOCK/HOLD to the center position.

(2) Press the button of the item you want to adjust (IRIS, SHUTTER SPEED, or GAIN).

(3) Turn the control dial to adjust the selected item.

Adjustment of each item

To adjust the aperture

You can select the aperture from the following 16 values: F1.6, F2, F2.4, F2.8, F3.4, F4, F4.8, F5.6, F6.8, F8, F9.6, F11, F14, F16, F19, CLOSE. To open the aperture (larger aperture), select a lower value.

To adjust the shutter speed

You can select the shutter speed from the following 20 speeds:

1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/90, 1/100, 1/125, 1/180, 1/250, 1/350, 1/500, 1/725, 1/1000, 1/1500, 1/2000, 1/3000, 1/4000, 1/6000, 1/10000.

To increase the shutter speed, select a smaller setting (larger value indicator in the viewfinder).
